Max & Keita in the Arlo

A Grace woman to you is...

A woman with a romantic, free spirit that looks for things that represent who she is in the most magical light.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

I chose the Arlo silk dress. I had my eye on it for ages! My most favourite wedding dress of all time, is Carolyn Bessett-Kennedy’s silk slip wedding dress. It’s classic, elegant, chic and forever timeless. I tried on a few wedding dresses, but as soon as I put this on, I felt like “me”. I don’t like being the centre of attention, but in my dress I felt like my natural self, just the way I wanted to be walking down the aisle to marry the love of my life.

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

I was very lucky, I was in Byron Bay looking at a venue for our wedding, so I was able to nip up to the Gold Coast showroom to try it on. My bridesmaid lives on the GC so it was amazing she could come with me. We sipped champagne and played dress ups, all with my mum and sister watching on Facetime.

How did you feel in your dress on the day?

I felt exactly how I envisioned myself to be on my wedding day, 100% me. My dress was perfect for adding those bits and pieces of my personality. To add some “bridal drama” to the outfit, I styled my dress with an Oscar de la Renta cathedral 5 metre long veil with billowing layers of tule. It was spectacular. I love a wedding veil!

Where did you get married? Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding day.

We got married in Byron Bay, a very special place to both my husband and I. We knew exactly how we wanted our day to flow as we had spoken about it long before we got engaged, so we actually booked everything and got married within 4-5 months of Max popping the question. Everything that was meant to be for that day, magically fell into place.
Our style for our wedding was to make it a beautiful, fun, intimate love fest with everyone’s favourite food, champagne, music and view. We just wanted to spoil our guests and make it the happiest day for everyone.

Because we fell in love and got together on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, we wanted to bring a little bit of Italy to the day.  For our ceremony we choose the beautiful Victoria’s in Ewingsdale.  We created that soft Italian garden wedding vibe and chose lots of gentle white and natural tones , against the backdrop of the Tuscan villa like setting. For our reception we choose our favourite Italian restaurant Beach Byron Bay. We literally needed to do nothing to the venue, as it’s so stunning being the only restaurant on the beach. We had the roof off with hanging globes, flowers and white linen and candles, so we could all eat, drink and dance under the stars. Bryon is a magical place to get married.

Tell us about your hair and makeup look and the accessories you chose...

I was very lucky, my hair and make up artist was done by my very close girlfriend Georgia Hull. Georgia did an amazing job. I rarely wear make up, but when I do, I love a red lip and mascara to make my lashes flick back. I know wearing a red lip is very risky (yes when we kissed, I put red lipstick all over Max, it was hilarious), but it’s something I love to wear. So it was a very minimal make up look,  just dewy skin, with emphasis on the lip and lashes. Georgia nailed it! I love my hair being up, so we did a tamed messy bun. Which was perfect of anchoring my veil. And for my accessories, beside my veil, I wore some Christine Nicolades earrings that my husband gifted me to match my emerald engagement ring. Also, I wore my gold bangles that I was given from my mum when I was teenager, that she brought back from her birth country. When I have children, I will be melting down that gold for them to make their wedding bands. Just like I did with my grandmothers gold bangles for ours.

What made your day extra special?

Just knowing I got to marry my soul mate in front of all the people we love, it doesn’t get any more special than that. Also, our written vows and wedding speeches, the most emotional rollercoaster of my life, hahaha. We laughed and cried so much, because words from the heart are just so special.

The funniest moment on the day was....

Max was very excited to marry me on Sunday. When our celebrant was getting to our vows, she said  “do you Max Deichler, take Kieta van Ewyk “ and just made a tiny pause to continue everything we had written for that section, but Max loudly announced “I DO!!!!”. I burst out laughing and explain to him, not that part just yet.

Where will you be honeymooning?

We did a little mini moon to Bali straight after the wedding, then to catch the European summer, we honeymooned in Paris, South of France, Pulgia, Mykonos and Positano. It was very magical.

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

I loved doing a pre-wedding welcome drinks event the night before. That way I got  to see all my guests before the wedding, and catch up with them one on one, with out having any restrictions. It took so much pressure off the next day at the wedding, because we’d already had our chats and catch ups, so we could just enjoy the day and focus on dancing the night away. It’s also great for guests, as they’ll already be familiar with everyone attending.

Scottie & Nashya in the Inca

A Grace woman to you is...

Classy but adventurous. Willing to risk something that is different while carrying themselves with confidence and grace.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

IncaI chose the INCA dress and knew it was “The One” before even getting engaged! I had seen it here and there on different blogs and loved how it stood out from other long sleeve laced wedding dresses. The nude lining and deep back V made it so unique.

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

I had tried on the INCA at the Venice showroom but didn’t buy it yet since it was a bit out of my budget. Miraculously, a week after I tried on the dress, I got an email saying the Venice showroom was going to have a sample sale in a few weeks! My sister, best friend and I waited in line at 7am that morning and when they let us in, we ran to grab the INCA dress! It couldn’t have been more perfect as it was in my exact size and I had to do zero alterations. Truly meant to be!

How did you feel in your dress on the day?

The INCA dress truly made our day into my dream day. Wearing the INCA made me feel so confident, sexy and classy. And because the dress falls so freely, I was still able to scramble up the boulders in Joshua Tree and dance all night!

Where did you get married? Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding day.

Sacred Sands in Joshua Tree! After we got engaged in Joshua Tree, it was kind of a given and mutual agreement we should get married there too. Joshua Tree is so special to the both of us, from all our weekend trips camping and climbing. There was something so serene, peaceful and sacred about it and we knew it would be the perfect place for us to get married. The ceremony space overlooked the mountains, and the reception space overlooked the desert scape and town in the distance. For the style of our wedding, we felt that we wouldn’t even need much décor because the scenery and environment was already decoration in itself, which would also help us with our budget. The desert was definitely the biggest inspiration for our wedding. Since our wedding was outdoors and in the Summer, we wanted to keep it casual and not so over-the-top so that our guests could really enjoy and experience Joshua Tree the same way we do every time we visit. We also wanted to incorporate any Indonesian traditions that we could but still have a relaxed, boho vibe so.. Indonesian Desert-Boho!

Tell us about your hair and makeup look and the accessories you chose...

I wanted to go for a more natural look since I knew we would be out in the desert heat all day, and I’m also a girl that hardly wears any make up! I left my hair down with a natural wave/curl and let it flow and blow around along with the desert wind. Because the dress was so perfect, I didn’t want to wear anything else that would take away from it. My only accessories were these turquoise earrings (my favorite color) that Scottie got me specifically for our wedding from Sedona, Arizona and a big turquoise ring. I wore baby blue colored heels for the ceremony, but instantly changed into tan boots afterwards so I could walk and dance around with ease!

What made your day extra special?

Besides getting to wear my dream dress ALL day, I think most people can agree that one of the most special moments was actually the exchange between me and my dad during the ceremony. My dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer around the time we got engaged, and the few weeks leading up to our wedding, his health took a huge downfall. The day before we drove out to Joshua Tree, I was still sitting in the ER with my dad. We didn’t think he’d have enough energy to even make it out to the wedding but miraculously he did. He mustered up the energy to walk me down the aisle, then throughout the entire ceremony sat in the shade. During the sand ceremony when me and Scottie went down to acknowledge our parents, my mom whispered to me that my dad was sitting in the back, which I completely understood and the fact that it was 90+ degrees that day. As we turned to walk back towards the altar, I see my dad slowly making his way down the aisle to embrace me and Scottie, all while my sister was singing How He Loves. To say that everyone was in tears would be an understatement. Then during the reception, my dad got up and surprised us by singing What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong (he is well-known in the Indo community for singing this song haha!). I also sang a song that I surprised Scottie with called All About Us by He Is We.

The funniest moment on the day was....

The funniest moment of the day was during the pie cutting. Me and Scottie decided to do pie instead of cake since we both aren’t huge fans of cake, and we’ve always loved Pie Hole in LA so it was pretty cool to have them cater for our desserts! When we both cut into the pie and it was time for Scottie to feed me the piece, he took a huge bite for himself instead! Scottie hadn’t gone to many weddings before so I guess I should have remembered to tell him the “rules” about the pie cutting LOL.

Where will you be honeymooning?

We honeymooned in Banff, Canada! We’re always hanging out in the desert and decided we wanted a change of scenery and honeymoon somewhere cold. Since we both love hiking, climbing and being outdoors, Banff was an easy pick since it’s been on our bucket list for a long time!

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Always stick to what makes you feel like you! There will be a lot of different opinions during the wedding planning phase, but always make sure that the day is about you and your partner!

Rumond & Casey in the Summer Gown

A Grace woman to you is...

Fierce! Effortlessly beautiful & unafraid to be herself.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

I knew SUMMER was ‘The One’ as soon as it was released. I had that silk silhouette on my wishlist as soon as I started working at Grace Loves Lace. She was so effortlessly sexy and elegant, it everything I was looking for. The buttery silk, bias cut, low back, v-neck… It flattered and accentuated my figure in all the ways I wanted.

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

I just felt so confident & completely myself in it – Like a second skin! The way the gown drapes around your curves and the silk moves, it’s hard not to feel so incredible in such a gorgeous gown!

How did you feel in your dress on the day?

On the day- the second I had my dress on I felt stunning- it was the moment I realised ‘WOW it’s go time.’ I felt like nothing and no one could stop me – I felt beautiful.

Where did you get married? Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding day.

We got married at Villa Rustica, a hidden escape owned by artists nestled between Byron Bay and Newrybar.
As soon as we visited Villa Rustica we knew it was where we wanted to get married, it just felt like ‘us’. The beautiful aged architecture and Morroccan-esque styling is the kind of space we adore and paid perfect tribute to the countless weekends we’ve spent getting away down south.

Tell us about your hair and makeup look and the accessories you chose...

My goal bridal look was to be an effortlessly sexy and natural beauty with a low messy bun, glowy skin & a natural smokey eye for a bit of edge. I styled my gown with the PEARLY Blusher Veil to give the simple silhouette a touch of detail and later threw on a leather jacket. For the reception party I styled my gown with the CHASE Silk Choker.

What made your day extra special?

I got married! (It’s not every day you having a massive party just to celebrate the love you have!) The pockets of time alone with Rum is what made it extra special… Having a moment together before our ceremony and making time throughout the day just to soak it all up and be in love!

The funniest moment on the day was....

We mustn’t be very funny people because I honestly can’t think of one! Are we grown ups? (Eep!)
I felt like we were laughing all day – Between speeches and the wild moves that took place on the dance floor – There wasn’t a particular moment but I will say it was all a bit of a laugh.

Where will you be honeymooning?

We spent our honeymoon in Thailand, on a few small islands away from everything with nothing but sun & pina coladas…

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Remember why you’re getting married (because you’re in love FYI) and keep coming back to that. It’s not an easy feat pulling together a wedding but it’s also not supposed to be stressful. When you do everything with your fiancé it’s actually really fun. Crazy, but fun!

Jamie & Brittnee in the Sol Gown

A Grace woman to you is...

A Grace women to me, is a woman who is carefree, a woman that is empowered in herself and ready to embrace the new and exciting times ahead.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

The magical Sol is the dress I chose. I feel like I subconsciously knew that she was the one from the start, but initially was a little out of budget. It came to my final dress fitting and I just wanted to make sure I didn’t walk away with any regrets. So I tried the dress on, and you guessed right. I fell in love with the dress- it was that moment I had been waiting for. The neckline, the back, the details over my shoulders. Everything about the dress was perfect for me- it made me feel so empowered and beautiful.

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

I purchased my dress at the Gold Coast showroom. All I can say is WOW. Everything was amazing and so special. From the décor of the showroom to the way that the girls made you feel was so perfect. It was definitely a must have experience in my books when it came to one of the steps of the elopement to have that- and the girls there did everything and more to make it so special.

Jamie and I eloped at Little Wategos Beach in Byron Bay. The two of us always wanted to elope and this was the perfect spot. It had the boho vibe that we wanted. We love the saying ‘Keep It Simple’ so that was exactly the whole vibe that our elopement had.

Tell us about your hair and makeup look and the accessories you chose...

Again with the whole ‘keeping it simple’- that is exactly what I did. For my hair I had a nice cute low bun with a clear quarts detail (for the good vibes.) My makeup I wanted to keep very bronze, very sultry and to make sure my features were enhanced (my MUA on the day NAILED this!) My accessories were very simple- I actually used my mums earrings and a bracelet I had received from my Pa- I kept with a gold theme as it is something that I prefer on myself.

What made your day extra special?

Everything was special- but what was most special is that everything was exactly what we wanted and dreamed of- It was him and I against the world together.

The funniest moment on the day was....

Well I’m honestly a klutz and I can’t walk straight normally if I tried. Our photographer asked us to run down the hill for one of our photos- in the moment we did and of course I fell over in my dress!!!

Where will you be honeymooning?

We will be honeymooning in Europe- Greece, Italy, Paris and Amsterdam!

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Live in the moment. You get this day once, don’t think of the bad or the what ifs- think of the now and the good things. You are stunning, you are a bride and this is your day.

Sean & Lacey in the Clo Gown

A Grace woman to you is...

is confident, embraces who she is, and honors the qualities that makes herself unique. She also has a strong emotional connection with touch, sight, and feel.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

For quite some time, I had pictures of ‘Clo’ saved on my phone, even before my fiancé and I got engaged. The dramatic, low back, lace details, the way it hugs and accentuates ones figure, everything about it spoke to me. I remember being in the showroom and purposefully waiting to try on Clo last as I knew it was ‘The One.’

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

I found and purchased my dress at the Dallas showroom and worked with Jaslynne. I cannot speak more highly of her. Jaslynne is personable, knowledgeable, her smile lights up a room, and you instantly trust and connect with her. I had two separate appointments, one with my now mother-in-law and another with my mama who flew in from Washington State. Both experiences were wonderful! My favorite memory was sitting on the swing with my mama after picking out ‘The One.’ Jaslynne took our picture and I will cherish it forever.

How did you feel in your dress on the day?

I felt truly beautiful, there’s no other way to put it. I smile thinking back on the excitement and anticipate I had about putting my dress on that day.

Where did you get married? Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding day.

We got married in the North Cascades National Park in Washington State, at Rainy Lake, which is a 1 mile hike one-way from the trailhead to a beautiful alpine lake with mountains surrounding it and waterfall flowing into it. The style of our wedding was outdoorsy-whimsical. For our reception we sat on the ground on plush velvet pillows at two long tables with gold, burnt orange, green and blue accents.

Tell us about your hair and makeup look and the accessories you chose...

For my hair I had loose curls, with a middle part, and half of each side pulled back. In the back where the left and right strands of hair came together, I had a teased braid. Then I had a floral claw placed in the back above where my Henri veil was placed. For my makeup, I had the artist do it natural as I rarely wear makeup. She used warm gold tones to highlight my summer tan and a light pink shade on my lips. I wore my mama’s small gold hoop earrings and my grandma’s gold diamond necklace.

What made your day extra special?

After our ceremony and reception at the lake my husband, Sean, our photographer and I hiked up 1.5 miles, and over 1,000 ft in elevation, in our wedding attire (I wore my wedding dress and Sean had his suit on, but we did change our shoes) to an intimate spot in the mountains amongst the evergreen trees, overlooking the lake below where we said ‘I do.’

The funniest moment on the day was....

Henri VeilWalking down my tree-lined aisle to my soon-to-be husband and my Henri veil got stuck on a small tree branch. Thankfully, my dad was right there to unhook me and all was good!

Where will you be honeymooning?

Due to COVID we couldn’t leave to go to another country like we wanted to, but we improvised and had the most amazing time going to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Grand Teton National Park where we hiked and explored a part of our country that we had never been before.

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Your wedding should be everything you want it to be, don’t do it for others. Do what makes you and your partner the happiest, whether that’s something big or small or in-between. The day is about the two of you, and celebrating your love so don’t let that get lost in the wedding planning process. Lastly, savor your special day it will be here before you know it!

Kyle and Anniken in the Megan

A Grace woman to you is...

Natural, feminine, timeless & playful.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

I love how elegant and chic the Megan gown is. Once I tried it the gown on, I fell in love! It is super comfortable, light and the rose embroidery really makes the dress so unique and special.

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

After going to a few bridal stores with no luck, I went to the GLL showroom is Venice, CA. My stylist was so amazing and asked if I would try on the Megan gown as she thought it would look beautiful on me. Once I tried the gown on, I knew right away that this gown was absolutely perfect and the exact dress I’d been looking for. When you know, you know!

Describe your wedding day look…

My wedding day look was minimalistic, chic and timeless.

How did he propose?

Kyle and I were visiting my hometown in Norway during the summer. We went for a walk by the beach and as we were enjoying the view and the fresh summer air, Kyle grabbed my hand and asked me to marry him. It didn’t take long for me to say YES! My family had a beautiful evening planned for us, on an island, to celebrate our engagement. Such a special day!

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

We wanted a simple, elegant and dreamy vibe, by the ocean; the typical Norwegian summer feel. We wanted our venue to be naturally beautiful, a space that immediately gives off a good vibe.

The funniest moment on the day was…

The whole day was a series of incredible moments but one that sticks out for me was when we all ended the night by jumping in the ocean outside the reception area. We were playing music and dancing on the beach while the sun was rising. Also, the speeches during the dinner were so thoughtful and funny, I was absolutely blown away and couldn’t stop laughing and smiling!

What was the most stressful part to planning?

The most important part in the wedding planning was to have fun together and enjoy the process. It’s so easy to dedicate way too much time and stress on the little things, but ultimately, this day is about marrying your best friend.

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

Hydrate your skin & drink lots of water! For me, it was important to get a few facials leading up to the wedding to make sure my skin was hydrated. I also got a tip to not make a massive change to your skin routine, as you never know how your skin will react to new products.

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Enjoy every little moment of the day! Honestly, the day goes by so fast, and in a minute, the day is just a memory. BUT, a beautiful memory that you will remember forever!

Patrick & Nikki in the Alexandra Rose Gown

A Grace woman to you is...

A GRACE woman to me is a woman who looks for an encompasses a carefree spirit with elegance and uniqueness.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

I chose the Alexandra Rose gown and knew it was the one the moment I put it on. It was actually the last dress I tried on and the one I expected to like the least, of all the stunning gowns I tried on that day. However, once I saw it on, I just knew it was perfect for me. To me the gown is different from a typical wedding dress in every way and that was the aspect that drew me to it most. It was beautiful, unique and different with the perfect balance of simplicity.

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

I was able to visit the Venice showroom to try my dress on and had an unforgettable experience. We started the day off with champagne and then went straight to trying on my dream dresses. The whole process from start to finish was super simple and effortless. Not to mention the showroom was a bohemian interior dream!

How did you feel in your dress on the day?

The day of my wedding I felt absolutely amazing. The dress not only fit me perfectly but was so comfortable that I was able to dance all night long in it, until our wedding ended at 2:00 am the next morning!

Where did you get married? Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding day.

My Husband and I got married at Peltzer Winery in Temecula, CA. We had our ceremony outside in their garden area and then continued on with the reception in the most gorgeous barn. The vibe was rustic bohemian and we absolutely loved everything about our day!

Tell us about your hair and makeup look and the accessories you chose...

For my hair and makeup, I wanted a more simple, refined, and natural look. My makeup artist and hairstylist did an incredible job and gave me a natural look that enhanced my features with the most beautiful half up half down bohemian braid.

What made your day extra special?

Our wedding actually had to be pushed back due to COVID and I know this year has been hard for so many people. So, the fact that our family and friends were still willing and able to come out and support us on our big day was very special to us!  Everyone had an amazing time and it was so nice to see everyone enjoying themselves despite everything that has been going on in the world.

The funniest moment on the day was....

The funniest moment of the day for me was my Maids of Honor speeches. They surprised us with a choreographed dance and wrote us a rap song about our love story and how we met. It was one of the highlights of my night! So funny and sweet, a memory we will have for a lifetime!

Where will you be honeymooning?

Before COVID happened we planned to honeymoon in Europe to Santorini, Venice & Positano. However, due to restrictions we pushed our Europe honeymoon back to 2021 & decided to go on a mini honeymoon to one of our favorite places, Mexico! We stayed at a beautiful resort in Cabo San Lucas and had the most amazing time. It was the perfect start to our forever!

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Don’t worry about the small things. I know everyone says this, but it is so true. The day of your wedding goes by so fast & is so exciting that you forget about all the unimportant things. Soak it all up and have the most amazing time!

Mikey & Zelti in the Summer Gown

A Grace woman to you is...

Effortless, classic and alluring.

Which GRACE dress did you choose and how did you know it was ‘The One’?

I chose Summer – the moment I tried her on I knew it was the one, the fabric and fit was perfect.

Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?

I actually visited both the New York and Los Angeles showrooms at different times – I couldn’t get enough of the experience to be honest (haha!) – but ultimately ordered my dress online with the help of Candice in LA.

How did you feel in your dress on the day?

My dress made me feel unique, effortlessly beautiful and comfortable all at once – I felt like the best version of myself.

Where did you get married? Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding day.

Our wedding was an intimate and romantic celebration at one of the oldest and most exquisite wine farms just outside of Cape Town in South Africa.

Tell us about your hair and makeup look and the accessories you chose...

I chose to keep my hair and makeup as natural as possible, with just light wavy hair and minimal make up. My pearl earrings were custom made by Karin at Dear Rae, and my wedding bands by Kasia Jewelry. I of course had to go with the GLL long pearly veil too, which I felt complimented the classic simplicity of my Summer dress.

What made your day extra special?

We turned our wedding into a week of celebrations in and around Cape Town, as well as on the wine farm, so on the day it was so special to have everyone together again for one last time to celebrate our union – it was a big party with only our closest friends and family, which made it extra special to us!

The funniest moment on the day was....

The funniest moment was definitely witnessing everyone’s dance moves toward the end of the night!

Where will you be honeymooning?

We kept it local and went to a wildlife lodge called Singita Lebombo in the northern part of South Africa.

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Choose a dress that makes you feel like the best version of yourself and most importantly have fun in it – it is a day you will cherish forever!

Your How-To Guide On Buying Your Wedding Dress Online

Buying your wedding dress in general is an overwhelming task, let alone buying the most important dress of your life online! For the better part of the last decade it has been our mission to make online bridal shopping a simple, fuss-free and unforgettable experience. Follow our top online dress shopping tips, and you’ll have your dream gown in your hands faster than you can say, “I do!”

Get To Know Your Silhouettes

Searching for your wedding dress online is such a big part of the planning process and knowing where to start can be tricky. By focusing on what features to highlight, you can narrow down your search early on. Think about your body shape and establish what features you want to show off, and what you’d prefer to hide –  after all, you know your personal style and what flatters your figure best!

Consider which fabrics you prefer to wear – would you be comfortable wearing bias cut silk draping over your curves, or would you feel more comfortable in a thick supportive crepe or lace fabric? Not sure? We feel you! We offer complimentary fabric swatches that can be delivered to you so you can compare fabrics on multiple gowns. You can order a swatch on each product page or by filling out our contact form.

Read Online Reviews

It always helps reading the opinion of REAL brides who have actually worn a particular gown on their special day. You can visit our online testimonials pageFacebook, Yelp or Google pages to find genuine reviews from past GRACE brides. If you want to read more about of our favourite GRACE brides, we have a real weddings blog where you can dive deep into the details and see any particular gown in action.

You can even up your online sleuthing and search through the tagged page on our Instagram – it’s the best place to find recent photos of previous GRACE brides wearing the gown you might have your eye on!

Get All The Details

Our dress descriptions for each style on our website help you understand exactly what you’re buying and ensure that you know all the facts. This will give you a clear understanding of what fabrics are used, how the dress is lined and give an indication as to how it fits.

We’ve also created informative videos diving into every stitch and seam of your dream-gown with Founder and Creative Director Megan Ziems, and Head Designer Rosie Keating. You can watch these either on our IGTV or on our blog.

Traditional gowns made from rigid fabrics, boning, and structure are high-risk purchases because they have no give if the sizing isn’t spot on. We create our gowns specifically to feel like a second skin and a stretch material, like a stretch lace, is the best way to ensure a good fit. Let’s be honest, you won’t want to take your GRACE gown off!

Know How To Take Your Measurements

This part of the process is key to ensuring a beautiful fit. Find a friend or family member to help you, grab a tape measure, and follow our measurements tutorial to make sure you’re measuring exactly the right areas.

Our online stylists are available around the clock to assist you with determining your measurements via email, live or video chat if you need any help!

Understand How The Sizing Works

When ordering your GRACE gown, you will be able to purchase either a ‘Ready-to-Wear’ gown (this is a standard size) or you can have our expert seamstresses hand make your gown to your size range and height; we call these ‘Made-to-Order’ gowns. The size ranges we offer are XXS to 5XL in most of our styles.

Our size ranges are applied to four, different parts of your body – your bust, under bust, waist and hip. This means that you can fall within multiple size ranges depending on your measurements. For example, a bride may measure an XL bust, L under bust, XL waist and a M hip – it really does vary from woman to woman!

We need your measurements to determine the size ranges you fit into. You’ll have an opportunity closer to your lock-in date to send us over updated measurements, so we can ensure your gown fits as close to your sizing as possible – we understand things can change closer to your wedding day! Our size ranges also all have a 5cm (~2 inch) variation so alterations might be a part of your journey and all our gowns are designed to allow this.

Our process was designed for brides ordering online without visiting a showroom, which is why it remains so simple.  Your gown will be made with your very own pattern and made to your exact height, inclusive of your heels!
