Hassan & Chelsey in Martini

The wedding that gave us goosebumps! #GRACEBride Chelsey tell us all of the details of her dreamy sunset wedding at the ever-so beautiful Terranea Resort, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

A Grace woman to you is...

Chic. Elegant. Romantic. IN LOVE.

What is it you loved about your GRACE gown and accessories?

The simplicity. The fit. It hugged every curve and had just the right amount of style and elegance.

Did you go to a GRACE showroom or purchase your gown online? Tell us about this experience.

I purchased my gown at the GRACE showroom in Denver, CO. I actually had quite an experience wedding dress shopping. I originally created a custom gown that, when completed, was not up to my expectations, to say the least. My husband and I were going to be in Denver, CO for one day, so I thought I wonder if GRACE has a showroom there?Much to my surprise, it has JUST opened and they had one appointment available, which was the only time I could go. I really only had the intention of trying on a gown I had seen on Instagram months before (the Martina), and when my husband drove me that Saturday morning, I waited in the car, hesitant to go inside. I saw brides entering the showroom with their mothers and entourages and I felt a little sad and insecure that my mom wasnt in Denver with us to go try dresses on with me. I told my husband that I dont think Im going to go, and he said, were already here. You might as well go inside and try on the dress. He didnt come inside the showroom with me, but Im so glad he encouraged me to go because otherwise I wouldnt have found my dream dress! The whole experience was so much fun. I didnt feel weird at all not having my mom with me. I just made sure to take tons of photos and videos so she could see as well. I actually didnt think she would like it because it doesnt have any rhinestones or glamour like she normally likes. Much to my surprise, when I texted her the photos and videos, her response was That was made for you.

Describe your wedding day look…

My wedding day look, to me, is CHIC. A chic bride. Elegant, classy, a little bit sexy.

How did he/she propose?

He recreated the moment we met 🙂

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

My goal for our wedding was to create and experience that captures our love for eachother. Romantic, fun, cultured. The most important aspect for me was to merge our cultures together in a respectful and unique way.

The funniest moments on the day were…

During our golden hour photos, I accidentally stepped inside a cactus and had a cacti latched onto my leg and the bow part of the dress! I removed the spikes from my leg and took the bow off and continued on with the night! Not really funny at the moment, but its kind no funny now!

What was the most stressful part to planning?

Planning a wedding during Covid!

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

Hmm.. I would say to not be too hard on yourself. Yes, eat healthy, get your workouts in, and start getting monthly facials, but I honestly lost 5 pounds in the 2 weeks prior to my wedding without even trying, so just take it easier on yourself and have fun with it!

Any last advice of words of wisdom that you can share with future GRACE brides...

Soak in every single moment of your special day. When they say it flies by, they arent lying.
