A GLL woman is to you…
Sexy and confident.
What is it you loved about your GLL gown and accessories?
Did you go to a GLL showroom or purchase your gown online? Tell us about this experience.
I actually bought the Piper gown at the LA sample sale. Initially I was going to order the Rosa gown online, however, around the same time I was gown shopping I heard about the sample sale that was about a month out. Living in Las Vegas it was an easy trip to LA, so my MOH and I flew in for the day and I was thrilled that I found gowns I loved – I loved them both so much that I left with the Arlo gown, too!
Describe your wedding day look…
I knew I wanted to go extremely minimalistic and modern with the dress (queue the Arlo), or, I wanted something lacy but a bit different— big, poofy gowns aren’t my thing. After contemplating both dresses, I decided to go with the Piper as it felt more “bridal” and made me feel sexiest. Each time I tried it on, I wouldn’t want to take it off!
How did he propose?
We live in Las Vegas and planned to have dinner at my favorite restaurant Nobu to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. After dinner, Jimmy asked if I wanted to visit the High Roller at the Linq for a friends “birthday”. I said no, as I was content with dinner and am more of a ‘chill at home and relax’ kinda girl. He kept asking, and so, I reluctantly said yes. Low and behold he had the proposal planned the whole time, and got down on one knee while we were 550’ feet high above the Las Vegas strip!
What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?
I knew that I wanted to keep everything clean, modern, and minimalistic with a very neutral color scheme – white, nudes, black and hints of gold. It was important that I kept the overall vibe, but having a beautiful venue and delicious food was the most important for the both of us. I had never eaten at Merriman’s before but the restaurant holds a great reputation in Hawaii so I had no doubt about it. Visiting the venue, it took my breath away- and I was sure it was the one! Also, booking a photographer that reflected the style that I love, and an awesome videographer to capture every single moment was extremely important.
The funniest moment on the day was…
The Best Man and MOH speeches.
What was the most stressful part to planning?
I actually didn’t find much stressful, however, the most difficult I would say was planning a destination wedding on Maui from Las Vegas. Visualizing everything and wanting to bring my inspo pics to life without getting to meet with any of the vendors and receive any samples/layouts was definitely a challenge!
