About

From the Beginning

“You know a brand has reached CULT STATUS when a dress receives more than 2.5 MILLION RE-PINS on Pinterest!”

Disillusioned with the structured, traditional wedding ‘uniform’ that dominated the market, Megan Ziems set out to change the bridal industry. She believed that quality shouldn’t be dictated by a price tag, and that a woman shouldn’t be forced to sacrifice style for comfort. She thought that the brides of today deserved better than average…

And so, in 2010 began the story of Grace Loves Lace. Since then, our team has created a whole new perspective on bridal dressing and have been designing gowns we want women to feel confident and empowered in. Our handmade gowns are all about effortless luxury, quality and style. We design gowns that have soul, originality and authenticity.

“The woman we design for is at the core of everything we do. She is effortlessly sophisticated, captivating, down to earth, sexy and authentic. She’s warm as the Spanish sun and cool as the Californian night. The GLL woman has morals and values – she knows exactly what inspires and motivates her.”

“The MOST PINNED Wedding Dress
IN THE WORLD”

Handmade in Australia

Our gowns are handmade in Australia, just for you. We don't mass produce and we don't outsource our manufacturing. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and craftsmanship with all of our design, production, quality control and dispatch being carefully managed in-house.

Order Online

GRACE started as an online store, and it remains the only place to buy an authentic gown outside of our showrooms. We continue to work hard to provide an exceptional online experience hand-in-hand with our expert team of online stylists who are available around-the-clock to help you with your styling needs.

Luxury Fabrics

Above all, we believe in two things: high quality, luxury sustainably sourced fabrics and ethical, handmade manufacturing. We only use the finest laces, silks, embroideries and trims and proudly uphold our reputation for being the best at what we do.

Our Gowns

Our gowns are crafted for comfort and movement. Our designs are all originally created by Founder Meg and Head Designer Rosie and brought to life by our in-house production team. We introduced an innovative and modern way of designing and constructing wedding dresses. We steer clear of boning or corsetry and opt for 'stretch' instead - designing unique silhouettes which allow you to move, laugh and dance, freely. Our award-winning gowns work with your body, not against it.

Our Showrooms

Stepping into our luxurious GRACE showroom is an experience you won't ever forget. Private rooms, gorgeous interiors and our signature award-winning down to earth friendly one-on-one service allows us to tailor your experience to suit your needs. Our showrooms are designed to feel like an extension of our Founder Meg's home, and we want to make you and your guests feel truly welcome and comfortable which is why we don't charge for appointments and we say heck yes to lots of photos.

Our Purpose

We are committed to designing and producing luxurious and ethical wedding gowns that women feel confident and comfortable in, whilst keeping them at an accessible price point.

We value skill, heritage and the art of dressmaking and champion Australian manufacturing. We are always looking at our business practice to identify meaningful ways we can adapt, adjust and grow. We are committed to continuous improvement to ensure that we look after our people, brides and our planet.

Our Commitment

Over the past ten years, we have been committed to Australian sustainable manufacturing, providing pristine workplace conditions, recycling, waste management and carbon offsetting throughout our business practices. Despite incredible business growth, we remain true to our values and are dedicated to keeping our wedding gown manufacturing in Australia.

Our Footprint

Over 80% of our gowns are made-to-order, which ensures we never have excess stock going to landfill. We keep minimal ready-to-wear stock on hand to ensure what we make, we actually use. We have also ensured that all our packaging is FSC Certified. We minimise our carbon emissions by designing, sampling and producing all orders in our Australian studio, keeping our supply chain all in the same location. We have initiatives in place to significantly reduce and recycle our material offcuts including product lines such as our accessories and GRACE Mini collection.

Our Supply Chain

We continuously review our supply chain from start to finish. With all of our design, development, production, quality control and dispatch undertaken in Australia, we are one of very few bridal brands who maintain extreme transparency of how your gown is being designed and made. At GRACE, we ensure that all fabric suppliers provide the necessary certification to ensure ethical and sustainable business practices and all packaging is FSC Certified.

Our Materials

Our materials are sourced from France, Asia, Turkey, Spain, Italy, America and Australia. As part of our commitment to innovation and sustainable practices, we've invented our own GRS certified eco lace, crafted from 100% recycled materials. We are also transitioning to satin made from 97% recycled materials for all occasion wear. Our packaging is FSC certified and we are moving to compostable plastics in 2021. We strive to ensure excess trims, motifs and spare fabrics are incorporated into designs as we strive to eradicate fabric wastage.

“Beautiful, confident, excited, comfortable,” declares Megan Ziems, founder of Grace Loves Lace, when asked how a wedding gown should make a bride feel. JULY 2020

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, there were a lot of things we didn’t think we could do online – and shopping for wedding dresses was at the top of the list. We’ve all heard those stories of the brides who purchased their dream gowns on Net-A-Porter or MatchesFashion.com, took it to the tailor for a snip and then shimmied down the aisle in it…

From Our Brides

“I purchased my gown online (everybody thought I was crazy) but it was so smooth sailing! I had my mum take my measurements, emailed them in to Grace Loves Lace and ta-da… I had my dress 3 months later. My gown fit perfectly and communicating with the GLL stylists half way across the world was an absolute breeze!”

GRACE Bride Spirit

“The Inca made me feel amazing with my shape and size. When I first tried it on I was a little nervous because I had only seen slim girls in it, but when I put it on and looked in the mirror I just fell more in love with it! It actually made my curves look better… the style, cut, lace and design was SO flattering on my body!”

GRACE Bride Kayla

“A GLL woman to me is someone who is confident and unique. A bride who is willing to stray away from the stereotypical bridal look and go for something that hasn’t been done before.”2
