Theodore and Savannah in the Suki Gown
An intimate Santorini wedding at Cavo Ventus, where breathtaking Aegean Sea views and close moments with loved ones made the day unforgettable.
From Friendship to Forever
Theodore and Savannah met while working at a brewery in Michigan. He was a server and bartender, she was a server, and for three years, they moved in the same friend group without anything more than friendship. It wasn’t until after they had both left the job that Theodore reached out. “He asked if I wanted to grab lunch,” Savannah recalls. “It turned into a later night as he took me to the farmers’ market afterwards. We went on a few hangouts and haven’t left each other’s side since.”
In 2023, Theodore began planning his proposal. He booked them tickets to Disneyland, a trip they had talked about taking for years, without letting on that he’d already asked her family for their blessing, chosen the ring, and coordinated for her mother and his close relatives to be there. “I had no idea he would propose,” Savannah says. “Best trip.”
A Santorini Wedding Overlooking the Aegean Sea
The couple wed on August 7, 2025, in Santorini, Greece, at Cavo Ventus, a cliffside venue with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. It was the first time they had seen the location in person. “We had only seen it in photos and videos prior to the big day,” Savannah says. “It was absolutely breathtaking.”
Theodore and Savannah hosted 22 friends and family members for the intimate destination wedding. “Being able to not only spend so much time with my husband but to also have incredible conversations with all 20 guests throughout the night was the highlight. I loved those moments with all my loved ones,” the bride says.
An Effortless Bridal Look
For her wedding dress, Savannah chose Suki. “As soon as I tried Suki on, I could picture my wedding day. She fit like a glove, and the low back was beautiful,” she says. Savannah had first seen the gown on Instagram and booked an appointment at our Chicago boutique, where it was one of just four dresses she tried. “I left that day without getting Suki, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her and scheduled another appointment for the next week to go back.”
She describes the experience at Grace Loves Lace as effortless and reassuring. “The women at Grace Loves Lace were incredible and simply want you to feel and look your best on your big day,” she says. “They make you feel comfortable and confident.”
