Our Washington, D.C. bridal boutique sits in the Union Market neighborhood, a small, intimate and walkable pocket of the city surrounded by local shops and restaurants. You’ll find us at 1266 5th St NE, a few doors down from St. Anselm and just across the walkway from the Gables and Morse garage, where parking is complimentary for 3 hours.
Step inside and wedding planning stress melts away in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our boutique received the Best of Business Rate award for Bridal Shops in the District of Columbia in 2024.
We want every bride to have a personalized experience. Our expert stylists will work with you to select dresses that complement your body shape, wedding type and personal taste. The Grace Washington DC Experience
Your appointment takes place in one of our four private styling suites in the heart of Union Market. On weekends the boutique runs at full capacity with all four suites in use, while one to two are available on weekdays, so it’s worth booking ahead for a Saturday or Sunday.
You’ll be welcomed with complimentary drinks before settling in for an hour-long appointment with your personal stylist. Our Washington, D.C. team is led by Boutique Manager ShaToya, alongside Bridal Stylists Cahlia, Cailin and Rachael. Before or after your appointment, take a wander through Union Market’s local shops and restaurants.

How do I make an appointment?
You can book an appointment at any of our boutiques here. Please provide your wedding date, dress size, and up to 5 styles you wish to try on at your appointment. The more information you provide us the better!
Are appointments free?
Our appointments are completely free.
How long do appointments go for?
Our bridal appointments run for one hour. This allows you time to comfortably try on up to 5 of your favourite styles plus accessories to complete your look. We ask that you factor in parking and arrive a few minutes early to ensure you get the most of your appointment time.
Why do I need to select gowns to try on before the appointment?
We ask for the styles you wish to try by name so we can ensure that these can be made in time for your wedding date and that we have your style sample in the boutique prepared for your arrival. We don’t carry every sample in every size so we want to be able to best prepare by having similar styles available to try.
How many guests should I bring to my Bridal Appointment?
Saying 'Yes' to the dream gown is a meaningful and personal experience. It's natural to seek support during your appointment. Grace Loves Lace invites you to bring up to 3 guests with you to your appointment. Whether you desire the support of your loved ones or prefer to come by yourself, our bridal stylists will be there to provide feedback and ensure you feel supported in making a decision that feels right for you.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
After booking your appointment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the option to reschedule or cancel. We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to make any changes — we understand that life happens, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. If you can’t find your confirmation email or need assistance, feel free to contact the boutique directly via phone or email.
Do I need to book an appointment to come in?
Grace Loves Lace operates by appointment only to ensure we have ample time to prepare for your visit. Purchasing your dream gown is quite different from buying an everyday outfit. Given the unique nature of wedding dresses, they often require assistance to try on, and there is a need for various details during the booking process.
What do I need to do to prepare for my appointment and what should I bring?
It is helpful to know your wedding date, dress size and styles you wish to try prior to your appointment so when booking please provide those details if you can. You can also bring any undergarments you wish to wear on your special day. Some of our brides bring stick on bra’s, boob tape, shapewear and heels, to name a few.
What sizes are available to try on?
We take pride in our commitment to sustainability and ethical manufacturing, which means we carry a limited selection of sizes and samples in each of our boutiques. While our boutiques have limited sizes and styles available to try on, we do have a selection of XS to 2XL in a range of styles in all boutiques.
When booking your bridal appointment, providing information about your size allows us to prepare for your visit and, if necessary, arrange to ship the sample if it's not originally available. If we don't have the exact style and size you're looking for, our stylists will do their best to find something similar in the store that aligns with your vision and inspiration.
Given the extensive range of styles, most of our gowns are available in sizes XS- 3XL. However, our Made to Order Customised gowns, along with our Emma gown, are available to purchase in sizes XXS to 5XL (subject to availability).

What happens once I say 'Yes' to the dress?
Congratulations on finding the dream dress! While you may be absolutely in awe of your gown, please note that our boutique samples are for trying on only and are not for sale.
Grace Loves Lace offers different gown offerings based on your wedding time frame- please refer to our Ordering and Timeframes page for more information. When applicable, you will have the opportunity to provide your measurements in our boutique before placing an order with your bridal stylist. We always recommend ordering as soon as you find 'The One' to ensure the selected style and fabric will be available.
Can I take my gown home on the day of my appointment?
Our boutique samples are to try on only and are not for sale. On the day you may purchase your Made to Order or Ready to Wear gown and this will be dispatched from Australia directly to your delivery address.
Is there parking near the Grace Loves Lace Washington, D.C. boutique?
Yes. The Gables and Morse garage on 6th Street offers 3 hours of complimentary parking. From the garage, cross the walkway to 5th Street and you’ll find us a few doors down from St. Anselm. We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you get the full hour.
Do you offer alterations or seamstress recommendations near the Washington, D.C. boutique?
Alterations are one of the most common questions at bridal appointments. Your stylist can talk you through the process, and our Alterations Directory is a good place to start.
What is the price range for Grace Loves Lace gowns?
Our gowns range from approximately $1,600 – $4,600, with pricing varying by fabric, silhouette, and design details. Many styles are available to try on at our Dallas boutique, so you can explore options to suit your budget in person.
