The Rise of Structured Wedding Dresses: How Grace has Evolved

23rd February, 2026

For over a decade, we have built our reputation on ease  gowns that move with you, stretch with you, and feel like a second skin. From the very beginning, Grace Loves Lace set out to redefine bridal by introducing stretch lace and fluid silhouettes that prioritised comfort, individuality, and effortless beauty. But as modern brides evolve, so too do we. We have turned a new page: the rise of sculpted structure and modern corsetry done the Grace way.

From Stretch to Structure

Over our lifespan, we have delivered more than 60 campaigns and created hundreds of designs. Our early collections became known worldwide for their free-flowing silhouettes, handcrafted stretch lace, and slip-on ease. These gowns were never about restriction, but they were about freedom, movement, and feeling like yourself. As bridal fashion shifted towards more defined silhouettes and sculptural shapes, we listened and responded to our bride’s needs without losing sight of what mattered most.

Corset Wedding Dresses Designed the Grace Way

Structured doesn’t have to mean stiff. At Grace, corsetry has been reimagined from the inside out. Every structured gown features our signature steel coil flexi-boning. Unlike traditional boning, which can feel rigid or dig into the body, our coil boning flexes and moves with you, designed for 360° movement.

Flattened with delicate rings and finished with curved tips, this structure offers strength without restriction, supporting the body while protecting both the wearer and the fabric. The result is a sculpted silhouette that feels secure, comfortable, and undeniably wearable. This is structure you can dance in.

Paired with our built-in shapewear crafted from power mesh with 73% recycled content, these gowns deliver targeted compression without compromise. The fabric was developed to sculpt the silhouette while aligning with our commitment to eco-conscious design. It’s a balance of comfort and confidence.

A Gown for Every Bride

Not every bride wants structure, and that’s exactly why Grace continues to offer both. Our slinky satin and silk gowns are designed to glide over the body for ease of wear with a liquid softness that feels effortless from every angle, allowing you to move through your day with ease and confidence.

Without added structure, our signature stretch lace and crepe gowns remain a cornerstone of our bridal collection. Ultra-comfortable, breathable, and designed to slip on and off with ease, these styles act as a second skin for the effortless bride. It’s the versatility of stretch or structure and fluid or sculpted designs that defines modern Grace.

Our Ongoing Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is woven into every decision we make  from the materials we source to the way each gown is finished. Styles like Lumi stand as a symbol of our commitment to conscious creation, crafted in line with the highest global sustainability standards and designed to endure beyond a single moment. Excess trims, motifs, and spare fabrics are thoughtfully reworked into future designs, helping us minimise waste and honour every material we use.

Across our collections, we prioritise recycled threads and linings, repurposing existing resources to reduce landfill, ocean waste, and unnecessary emissions. It’s a considered approach to bridal design  one where beauty, responsibility, and longevity coexist. Each intentional choice, no matter how small, contributes to protecting the world we cherish today and preserving it for generations to come. And that is something that we will always strive for  to make a positive change and a lasting impact.
