Griffin came into Hannah's life when she was just 15, kind to everyone around him, but especially to her. Nine years later, Hannah had a feeling a proposal might be close, though she had no idea of the plan Griffin had been quietly building: a rooftop dinner to mark their anniversary, and a question he intended to ask once the night had settled into itself.
He had planned to wait until after their meal, but the nerves got the better of him and the proposal came out before he knew it. It was only afterward that Hannah learned the rest: that Griffin had called ahead to secure their table, and arranged for flowers to be waiting when they arrived. The couple celebrated their wedding at a garden venue just outside of Columbus, Ohio, the city where they both grew up. It was a fitting return, the place where their story began as high school sweethearts became, ten years later, the place where they promised each other forever.
When asked about her most memorable moment of the day, Hannah recalled the nerves that sat with her all morning, right up until she was standing behind the ceremony doors. With her two brothers by her side, who were walking her down the aisle, she turned to them and simply said, "guys, I'm so excited." Then the doors opened. Walking toward Griffin, watching him take her in, is a moment she says she will never forget.
