What is a Grace Woman to you?
A bride who embodies confidence and her own bold flare!
Which Grace dress did you choose and how did you know it was 'The One'?
I chose the Clo dress. I wish I could say that I had this “Aha Moment” when dress shopping. I loved every single dress I tried on at Grace Loves Lace, which made the decision quite challenging! I chose Clo because it felt genuine to me. It was exactly what I was dreaming of and was so flattering. I am so happy with my choice!
Tell us about your experience when you found your dress, did you buy your wedding dress online or in one of our showrooms?
I went to the Denver showroom for dress shopping. My mom and sister both flew out from California to join me. It was so relaxing and effortless. By far the best part of wedding planning!
How did you feel in your dress on the day?
SO CONFIDENT! I have never felt better in my own skin. My dress fit perfectly, and I didn’t even need to get it altered.
Where did you get married?
Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding day.
We got married at my grandparent’s vineyard in Paso Robles, CA. Our wedding had elements of boho, but with a modern twist. Our reception area was at the same location, and had lights strung all through the backyard. It looked straight out of a fairytale.
Tell us about your hair and makeup look
and the accessories you chose…
My goal for my hair and makeup was to have it still look like me. I went with a bronzed, bright look. I told my makeup artist, Anna, that I wanted to look like I just got back from Cabo! I am so picky with makeup and she absolutely made me feel stunning! For hair, one of my bridesmaid is actually my hairdresser too. She did long loose curls with lots of clip in extensions. I love my hair down and mermaid like. For accessories, I went with simple jewelry, I wanted my veil to be bold and didn’t want anything to take away from that. I wanted a veil with lots of movement for photos, and chose the Stardust Veil. The sparkle in the veil was beyond perfect in photos and I couldn’t be happier with my choice!
What made your day extra special?
My wedding band is a family heirloom. My grandmother surprised me with it a couple of months before the wedding. I am actually the ninth person in my family to use this ring. So special!
The funniest moment on the day was…
My husband, Nick, and I wrote our own vows. His were amazing. At the end of his long, beautiful vows, he said, “Lastly, I vow to slap that ass every chance I get!” The entire crowd of our family and friends broke out in laughter. It was so funny and caught us all of guard!
Where will you be honeymooning?
We honeymooned in Maui. It was so gorgeous and relaxing.
Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share…
Don’t be afraid to put your own unique flare into your wedding day. Stray away from the typical traditions if they don’t match your style or vision for the day. Make sure you relax and enjoy the day too, it really went by so fast!
