Riley and Sierra in Nathalia and Clo Crepe
Riley and Sierra said ‘I do’ in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, a romantic beachside destination. The bride wore two unforgettable looks from ceremony to celebration.
Childhood Love
Riley and Sierra’s story stretches all the way back to childhood, with both going to the same daycare, though neither could have known what was to come. It wasn’t until years later, as teenagers, that the couple truly met. From that moment, something just clicked. “We fell in love and became inseparable,” Sierra says.
Fast forward to a festive Christmas morning at home, with Sierra’s family gathered for a day of celebration. Amidst the buzz of conversation, Riley stood up. “I have one more thing to give you,” he said. “He got down on one knee, and my entire family gasped with shock and excitement. Tears began flowing from my eyes as I sat there, realising the reality of the moment,” Sierra recalls. “I heard the words ‘Will you marry me?’ and I couldn’t say yes fast enough!”
A Destination Wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
When it came time to plan their wedding, Sierra and Riley knew exactly what kind of setting they wanted: somewhere beautiful, relaxed, meaningful, and family-friendly. Puerto Vallarta offered all of that and more; it felt like the kind of place where life slows down in all the right ways.
The morning of the wedding, Sierra, Riley, and their son walked barefoot along the beach, collecting shells and drawing their family name in the sand. It was simple and perfect. A quiet pause before the celebrations began.
Sierra’s Ceremony to Celebration Bridal Looks
For Sierra, finding the perfect gowns meant highlighting every part of herself. “I chose two gowns because they both offered the different versions of myself that I wanted my husband to see,” she shares.
The experience of finding her dress was more than just an appointment; it was a journey with the women who helped bring her vision to life. “I had a wonderful experience, connecting so deeply with the women at my fittings every single time! I created friendships I will carry with me forever!”
Her advice to other brides would be to leave yourself a little extra time for alterations or adjustments if you’re going custom, to take the pressure off in those final weeks, and give yourself time to enjoy the process.
