Kallen and Georgia in the Sienna Gown
Georgia and Kallen’s barn-style outdoor wedding captivated beneath the starlit sky at the Ridge Estate in Australia's Central Coast
Their High School Love Story
The couple’s love story traces back to the tender age of 12 when they met on their first day of high school. Although they orbited in similar circles, their friendship only deepened in the final two years of their schooling with their romance igniting on the eve of their high school graduation. Now, Georgia and Kallen have 8 years of love and memories behind them as husband and wife.
In him, Georgia found a life partner where even the most mundane of tasks are illuminated with excitement. “I knew he was the one because he makes life feel so beautiful and exciting,” the bride shares. Georgia finds solace in the way they've grown and evolved together over the years, yet still share the same hopes and dreams, knowing their journey will continue to unfold side by side.
On a seemingly ordinary Monday, Kallen organised the perfect proposal at North Head in Manly, the very spot where their love story began in 2015. Georgia, completely unsuspecting, was led to believe she was on a casual picnic with her best friend. With Kallen supposedly at work and even sending a photo to maintain the ruse, Georgia remained clueless until she stumbled upon the idyllic setup amidst the bushes. As Georgia and her friend walked down the bush path, she was welcomed with an ocean view, a beautiful picnic set up, and Kallen’s sweet smile and teary eyes. "It was truly the most beautiful moment,” the bride reflects.
A Barn Style Wedding Under the Stars in Peats Ridge, NSW
The couple exchanged vows on a sunny November afternoon at Ridge Estate in Peats Ridge, NSW, surrounded by 90 of their nearest and dearest. Their outdoor ceremony unfolded amidst the canopy of trees with a breathtaking backdrop of the Australian bush. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed afternoon tea and lawn games followed by cocktail hour.
“I wanted to stay in my beautiful Sienna gown as long as possible so instead of a dress change, I did a hair change and let it out for the evening celebrations,” the bride shares. Their dream reception was held under the stars and festoon lights, with long wooden tables outside the barn. Laughter and tears flowed during heartfelt speeches, accompanied by woodfired pizza in a banquet-style dinner before they danced the night away.
“Our highlight of the whole day was the dance floor! We had so many pinch me moments looking around and seeing our whole community surrounding us, dancing and having the best time for hours and hours,” Georgia reflects. Located just over an hour's drive from Sydney, their barn-style wedding felt remote and secluded, fulfilling the couple’s desire for privacy and tranquillity, with neutral tones and warm terracotta and blush accents, embracing nature’s beauty.
Discovering Sienna
During the couple’s year-long journey around Australia, Georgia stumbled upon the Sienna gown online and instantly fell in love. As their travels brought Kallen and Georgia to Melbourne towards the trip’s end, Georgia booked an appointment at our Melbourne boutique. Despite the absence of her family or bridesmaids, the experience was made memorable by the company of three dear friends she met during their travels. Trying on the Sienna confirmed it as "The One," a sentiment unanimously shared by my bridesmaids upon seeing photos.
Sienna embodied Georgia’s dream wedding dress. “The silhouette was exactly what I imagined, and I loved the plunging v-neckline and thicker straps,” the bride reflects. Georgia adored the low back and intricate lace pattern, with the delicate tulle at the bottom of the dress adding a divine touch.
