Kevin and Sami shared their vows at an intimate beach ceremony in Palos Verdes, California, a place they call home, surrounded by 35 of their nearest and dearest.
When Sparks Ignite
Kevin and Sami’s connection was immediate and undeniable. From the moment they met in college, a spark ignited between them. Although they briefly drifted after their college years, they found their way back to each other and have been inseparable ever since.
With Kevin by her side, Sami’s truest self finds solace. “He brings out the absolute best in me,” the bride shares. Deeply inspired by his kindness, humour, and unwavering drive, Sami was certain he was her soulmate.
Two years later, while watching the sunset at the beach down the street where they live in California, Kevin proposed. “I was completely surprised, thinking we were just watching the sunset on the beach on a Saturday like we often do. It was perfect,” Sami shares.
An Intimate Beach Wedding in California
One year later, they exchanged vows on a secluded stretch of beach in Palos Verdes, California, not far from where Kevin proposed, marking the beginning of their new chapter together. Having relocated from the East Coast to California, the couple found beauty in their new surroundings, making it only fitting to marry in the place they now called home.
Surrounded by 35 of their closest friends and family, the wedding reflected the couple’s personalities through its intimate, carefree, and beach-inspired style. With the sun gently setting behind them as they said, ‘I do’, Kevin and Sami’s ceremony was a breathtaking moment they’ll cherish forever. Following the ceremony, they continued the celebration at a beautiful house nearby to where they live, toasting to their future with their beloved guests.
Saying ‘I do’ in Anu
Sami’s journey began when she first laid eyes on the Anu gown featured on our Instagram. Captivated by Anu, the bride visited the Grace boutique in Venice, accompanied by her mum and two closest friends. “It was so cozy and beautiful” Sami reminisces, “we immediately felt so cared for by Grace.”
As she slipped into the Anu gown, Sami knew it was the one; the moment her mother shed tears, confirming what she already felt in her heart. "I loved the easy-going, carefree nature of the gown," Sami reflects, "it just felt like me." With its simple yet classic design, Anu resonated with Sami's desire for uniqueness and a touch of unconventionality, perfectly embodying her style.
The bride accessorised Anu with simple gold hoops with pearls, complemented by Greek sandals in gold. Embracing a minimalist approach, Sami explains “Anu doesn’t need much to make her stand out”. Finally, the bride adorned her hair with gold butterfly bobby pins as a beautiful sentiment in remembrance of her dear friend who passed away.
Remaining Authentic
“Relax and remember it's all going to be great, because you're marrying the love of your life! As you plan, gut-check that everything you're doing feels authentic to you and your partner.
