Rob & Monica in the Summer Gown

Grace Bride Monica and Rob eloped in Cyprus at The Amara Hotel. After planing a big ceremony and celebration before COVID hit, it made plans almost impossible to get everyone in one place. However, in a turn of events - the now family of three decided to sneak off and celebrate together! Their simple and intimate ceremony moments shared between the newlyweds and their party-loving six-month-old son, Oscar.

What is a Grace woman to you?

Stylish, strong, adventurous and elegant.

Which GRACE dress did you wear and how did you know it was 'The One'?

It was between Clo, Summer and Valentina - all so stunning! When I slipped on Summer it was 100% the one: the low back, the elegance and simplicity of it was exactly what I was looking for.

Did you buy your wedding dress online or visit one of our Showrooms?

I picked a few I liked online, then went to the London Showroom, sipped some champers, and tried them all on - the perfect day! The staff were incredibly professional and helpful. I bought the gown there and then.

What was your first date?

Our first date was a casual lunch just the two of us, but I was insanely shy and it ended up being pretty awkward. I was shocked there were more dates after that.

Where did you get married?
Tell us about the location & the style of your wedding.

We eloped to Cyprus at The Amara Hotel and we chose to have a very simple, intimate ceremony with just the two of us and our party-loving, six-month-old son, Oscar. We’d planned a big ceremony and celebration before Covid, but it was nearly impossible to get everyone we loved in one place. We ended up sneaking off just the three of us. I wanted the style to be classic, elegant and understated. We wanted it to be different but still have traditional touches.

The funniest moment on the day or something that surprised you?

Some of my husband’s dance moves were quite the surprise and just how much fun we had just the three of us. It was also emotional and very special, more than I expected.

Any last advice or words of wisdom that you can share?

The classic cliche of enjoying every moment is true. It goes so fast so soak it all in.
