Where Halftime Became History
Five years ago, Hunter and Kelly’s love story began, locking eyes during a Tennessee game in Athens, Georgia. It was a brisk fall day, brimming with the excitement of college festivities as they both cheered on the UGA Bulldogs. Kelly describes that moment as “love at first sight,” adding, “Ever since halftime, it was history.”
Since that unforgettable day, Kelly and Hunter have become each other’s closest friends, sharing countless adventures and supporting each other through life’s many ups and downs. “We love each other unconditionally, and God answered our prayers when he brought us into each other’s lives,” Kelly shares. Hunter is everything Kelly ever dreamed of in a partner and more—a true blessing in her life. For both of them, there is no one else they would rather share this beautiful journey with.
Promises by the River
When Hunter first visited Kelly’s parent’s home, she took him to the stunning River Shoals at the back of the property, a spot that soon became significant for the couple. It was there that Hunter and Kelly’s father often plotted the proposal. Sadly, Kelly’s father passed away before Hunter could propose, but he honored his plan in the most heartfelt way. Organizing a wine and charcuterie picnic out on the rocks, Hunter played a song for them to dance to as the sun began to set. It was here that he dropped to one knee and popped the big question.
A Tuscany-Inspired Vineyard Wedding in Georgia
Hunter and Kelly have always loved visiting vineyards and tasting wines, cultivating their passion as wine connoisseurs together over the years. Their dream is to one day explore vineyards in beautiful European landscapes like Tuscany. For their wedding, they chose Montaluce Vineyards and Winery, a venue that offered a stunning slice of Tuscan charm. Every detail of their venue was exactly what they envisioned—classy, timeless, and lush, perfectly complemented by a minimalist black-and-white theme for their elegant black-tie celebration. Marrying Hunter, the love of Kelly’s life, was everything she had ever dreamed of and more. In honor of her late father, who passed away in 2021, Kelly was escorted down the aisle by her godfather and her father’s best friend, creating a touching tribute. In place of the traditional father-daughter dance, Kelly surprised her mother with a heartwarming mother-daughter dance to her parent’s wedding song, creating a beautiful moment.
Finding Olive in Atlanta
Kelly values beautiful and aesthetically pleasing atmospheres, describing our Atlanta boutique as "absolutely perfect." Visiting with her girls, they were warmly welcomed by their bridal stylist with a glass of champagne on arrival. “My bridal consultant became my best friend while I was trying on gowns,” Kelly shares. She had saved the dress she felt a special connection with for the third try-on, and as soon as she stepped into the dressing room, her bridal stylist draped her in the Frederike veil and added our Willa earrings, confirming that this was 'The One.' She was overcome with tears and emotion and couldn't wait to show her friends, who were moved to tears when they saw her. “I will never forget this moment,” Kelly shares. Kelly's classic bridal look, complete with a sophisticated low bun, was a perfect reflection of her personality.
