What is it you loved about your GRACE gown and accessories?

There are so many things I loved about my gown and veil. If I had to choose my favorite it would be the comfortability in the sense that I could move around, dance all night, and have an overall easy experience wearing my lightweight gown. The back of the clo is what sold me, the open back with the delicate lace details and the ever so light shimmers gave me all the confidence in the world. I have never felt so beautiful, confident, and womanly in my life. The clo was the first and last dress I ever tried on. In fact, I bought it 2 years before my wedding day and yet the day I put it on felt like no time had passed. The clo is so timeless and so elegant and went perfect with my grace veil. I am all about simplicity, yet, this dress is the perfect in between simple and bridal.

Did you go to a GRACE showroom or purchase your gown online? Tell us about this experience.

I went to the show room in Los Angeles , CA. The experience trying on the gown is a whole new level of dress shopping. The showroom is very intimate which makes the experience that much better. My bridal assistant at grace went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and made me feel beautiful.

Describe your wedding day look…

Your entire life you think about what you want to look like on your wedding day. The gown, the hair, the makeup, etc. However, for me, the most important part of my wedding look was looking like myself. The clo gown was so simple yet so bridal, I could never imagine my wedding day in anything else. I wanted to keep my jewelry to a minimum as I do on a daily basis so I wore a very thin dainty pearl bracelet and a dainty set of pearl earrings. I love the color white and how clean and simple it makes everything look so I paired my wedding day look with some white block heels. To top it off, I wore a very thin silver anklet, as I always do, to make my wedding day look and feel like myself.

How did he propose?

He proposed in Kauai, Hawaii in January of 2020. We go almost every January so the location was already something special to us. The day of the proposal I thought nothing of it. We went on a golf cart tour, something we have never done, that overlooked 7 of the greatest lookouts/scenes in all of Hawaii. It was pretty funny actually… there were about 20 golf carts, we ended up getting the last one… and it broke down! We got left behind the tour group and I was living for the good memory! Connar seemed a little on edge insisting we do something to get back to the tour. We ended up getting a new cart by the end of the tour and once we did the tour guide directed us to a different location than the rest of the group. My first initial thought was, “oh man, we’re in trouble. They think we broke the golf cart!” Instead, it took us to this private cliff where there were hundreds of roses and champagne lining the cliff's edge. The sunset was just setting perfectly over the water, the sky was pink, and of course… I said yes!

What was your goal for your wedding / what was the most important aspect to you?

The most important goal of my wedding day was to have fun. I think too many people stress about having the little things, or even the big things. In the end I think the day is for you and your spouse so the most important thing is that you both have a good time. For me, that is what I wanted. I am so happy that I decided to let loose and have fun, because in the end, my wedding day had to have been the most perfect, flawless, and easy going day I’ve had.

The funniest moments on the day were…

I think the funniest moments were when we were cutting the cake. Although we did the traditional cake cutting, Connar isn’t a big fan of sweets. So after Connar and I cut the cake… my maid of Honor and I did a second cake cutting together and fed each other the cake! Everyone was cracking up and it made the day that much more memorable. Another moment was when Connar was taking off my garter for the toss, he accidentally bit me!

The next funniest moments were right after the ceremony, all 10 of my bridesmaids took their shoes off and wore their slippers that I gifted them the rest of the day! They all were living their best lives, having fun, and the pictures with the slippers are adorable!

What was the most stressful part to planning?

We had 2.5 years to plan the wedding, which I really recommend a long engagement for others in the sense that it was not stressful at all. If I had fun with it, enjoyed every moment, spread things out and took it one day at a time.

Any top beauty/health/fitness or wedding preparation advice that you can share…

I think the most important wedding advice I can give someone is to take it slow. You want to enjoy the process, enjoy the day, and importantly relive those good memories. Make the day about yourself and your spouse and everything else will fall into place.
